2025 HUNTER VALLEY
– CHARDONNAY –

The 2025 Hunter Valley Chardonnay brings together fruit from several Pokolbin vineyard sites, each contributing subtle differences in flavour and texture. Exceptional conditions for white varietals delivered high-quality fruit with impressive purity. Fermented in a mix of stainless steel and French oak barriques, the wine was held on lees to build softness and weight, without undergoing malolactic fermentation. The result is a contemporary Hunter Chardonnay made for versatility and early enjoyment.

Tasting Notes

A fresh, medium-bodied style showing citrus and white stone fruit, lifted by gentle oak spice and a touch of solids complexity. The palate carries generous fruit intensity through the mid-section, supported by a smooth acid line that gives the wine length, texture, and balance.

2025 HUNTER VALLEY
– SHIRAZ –

The 2023 Hunter Valley Shiraz is sourced from a selection of Tyrrell’s top estate blocks and neighbouring dry-grown vineyards, many averaging around forty years of age. The vintage was exceptional for reds, providing ideal ripening conditions that delivered fruit with depth and structure. Fermented with a high proportion of whole berries, the wine was matured in large-format French oak casks to preserve fruit purity and finesse. It is crafted as an approachable Hunter style designed to drink beautifully in its youth.

Tasting Notes

A bright, medium-bodied Shiraz with red fruits and savoury spice on the nose, following into a palate framed by soft tannins and lively, crunchy acidity. The combination of primary fruit, gentle texture, and regional elegance creates a balanced wine with complexity and immediate appeal.
