Hills Bulls Our Club Our Legacy

THE “BULLS LEGACY” HISTORY

In 2015 we undertook Phase One of the ‘Bulls Legacy’ Project to develop the building at Crestwood Reserve to not only modernise facilities for the Hills Bulls Players, Officials and Members, but to provide a common usage facility for the broader Hills Community.

The Hills Bulls Clubhouse will be much more than a hub for the enormous number of members and players we have, it will be shared with other Hills Shire groups that we are working with, such as Northwest Disabilities, St Gabriels School and the Lions Club.

The Club extends thanks to the Hills Shire Council, who have committed $200,000 to the project. We are also hopeful of receiving funding from the State Government.

In 2015, thanks to many generous sponsors and supporters, combined with funds from the Club, we raised over $350,000. This money made it possible to renovate the changerooms, build extra storage rooms, extend the canteen and bar as well as allowing us to lay the ‘slab’ for the second storey. We were able to make this happen through generous donations of time from the many tradespeople we have within the club and fundraising support of our members.

Since then, the Bulls have wrestled with funding for the completion of the build, while ensuring the financial security of the Club each year. However, without the backing of a Leagues Club, we are very focussed on conservatively managing the Club’s finances, investing in a range of initiatives and providing gear and equipment for all athletes across the variety of sports we offer.

The Hills Shire Council has generously committed $200,000, and we are hopeful of additional funding from the NSW Government for Phase Two.

To finalise the building, we need a further $350,000 through our own fundraising efforts.
